Boy could I have a field day in that store! What inventory, and the prices are very reasonable. The closest I get to much surplus is the big Labor Day, four day flea market. Lot of the vendors have surplus stores in other states and they usually do very well at the flea markets. I used to have a desert parka back in the 90’s, don’t know what happened to it, would love to have another one . Thanks for this surplus store tour, really enjoyed it😀

Brainy, you really like all the old night desert gear. It was issued to us during Desert Storm and along with it came stories that it was anti-radar, etc..We thought it was cool. Gear has improved so much in the last 30 plus years. I was fortunate to be able to be a Gov. Contractor in Western Afghanistan under SOCOM from 2009-2014 .. I was amazed at what gear has come to be. I was in my mid 40s while contracting and these young Warriors quickly got me up to speed. I enjoy your channel and the rummage through history.

Thanks for once again taking us along on yet another Central Texas surplus store trip. This location was to be my next choice for visiting when we ran out of time a few weeks ago while in Killeen. Glad you made it there first. Your enthusiasm is contagious Brother. I need a new set of straps for one of my Alice Packs, and seeing thier stock of goodies no telling what else will make the ride back home. Hope Dear Wife has not found my stash of cash I keep for my occasional forays to ponder or procure yet another treasure. Keep on keeping on my Young Friend. See you on the trail.

I was TDY at Hood back in the 80s. A certain surplus store was raided due to stolen equipment. A few soldiers are probably still in the graybar hotel.

Love how clean and organized it is. Sadly, no website means it is completely useless to me. A local vintage shop had an XL desert night camo smock with liner for $80 CND, would have bought it if it was a large.

As kid u dont really have this gear but u do got the toys of military and usually some camo or even canteen and maybe MRE but Mre isn't good for kids id say maybe the candy thats really it and as u grow up u get to have as much fun a pick the gear u want anything
