Your photographs of Bristol from the 70's bring back wonderful memories. We lived in Whitchurch from 1966 until 1972. I recall playing on the old airfield which still existed there at that time. We moved to Nailsea on the otherside of Bristol until 1977. I last went back to the area in 2010. It's unlikely I'll venture back again. I'd rather remember Bristol and the surrounding areas as they were then not as they are now.

Much greener back then. Concrete is cheaper to maintain. Sad. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the memories. I was a student from 1965 t0 1969. Happy days... Rag parades. Corn Exchange 5 bob on a Tuesday night (Uncle Bonny's Chinese R&B jazz club). The new student's union building on a Saturday night. (Beer 1/10d a pint and top bands.) What a time to be alive!

Thoroughly enjoyed that stroll down memory lane. Thanks Dave! 👏
I was a young teenager, living in Bristol and I loved everything about Bristol then.
My family moved away in the mid-80's, but each one of us has returned to the city we love.
Great pictures, thanks Dave.
Keep up the good work.

Born and raised in Bristol, born in 1973, and will always be here.Remember some of the latter seventies and naturally all the eighties and it was a fantastic time.I look at broadmead and it is a disgrace.Of course not forgetting that bloody eyesore at Temple Meads. Two hotels closed for bloody years and that petrol station has been shut for the best part of thirty years and three should be pulled down and gone.A visitor comes to our city, gets a cab from Temple Meads and what do they see? Those three monstrsies.gr73.

Wasn't amazing but it was good days. As a Bristolian I appreciated what we did and didn't have. Look at it now, I know which era I'd rarher be in!
