I've privately wondered about this for decades now.

At age 21, she ran for public office as the Register of Conveyances in New Orleans against Gaspar Schiro, the man who was the president of the organization that stripped her of her title of Queen of the Floral Trail Society for appearing clothed in Playboy Magazine. She lost the election by only 135 votes and was the first woman to ever run for public office in New Orleans.

I'm curious if she knew what she would have done if she had won the election? Would she have tried to do the job she was elected to or bow out because she never expected to win? She was earning her Bachelor's degree in Communications from Loyola University in New Orleans, so I'm assuming that she had the capacity to do the work. She had also been accepted to Loyola Law School, but turned that down to go to Los Angeles to act, so I am unsure what she would have done had she won.
