Thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, Medical staff and Cleaners too. Singaporean should not shun them, without them who will take care of us when we fall sick. Thanks to all the angels 👼

Salute to all the doctors and nurses in the front line

Who would shun medical staff in times like this? That is a very arrogant and immature behavior.

I appreciate all front line medical and other staff for carrying on their duty. Singaporeans should treasure their dedication and sacrifice in this sensitive situation. We should try to help in whatever way we can in a crisis. How would you feel if your family member or yourself were the patient? Would you want Doctors and Nurses to shun you ?

It's a shame this even had to be said though. Thank you very much to all the healthcare workers, not forgetting those who work in healthcare facilities such as cleaners and admin staff.

Shunning perceive danger is natural human instinct. I’m ok if you politely remove yourself from uncomfortable situation but when you make the other party uncomfortable then you should reflect your actions.

But the question is, should healthcare workers remove their uniforms after their duties while going home? Long ago during Sars, I met a nurse friend at a MRT station, I proceeded to go sit next to her to chat. She asked me not to go near her as she had a lot of germs. Though might be an excuse to shoo me off

"Mr Gan said: “Sometimes a kind word or warm greeting will go a long way to make them feel appreciated and give them a morale boost to continue their efforts. I want to take this opportunity to thank all healthcare our workers who are at the frontline caring for our patients and our loved ones.” "

Can we do this for the politicians too....make them feel appreciated and perhaps reduce their pay?

Let's be honest here - no one should shun healthcare workers, but healthcare works should also ensure they charge out of their work attire when they get on public transport. Gov already said (and various authorities from other countries confirmed) that the virus can remain active on garments for up to 12 hours. It is every Singaporean's responsibility to support our healthcare works, but it is also everyone's responsibility to minimize the risk of transmission. For one to say "I cannot change out of my work attire (which may have been in contract with the virus) because I am tired" is no better than someone sick saying "I cannot wear a face mask cause it is uncomfortable".

It's good that the numbers are increasing, it means Singapore is doing a good job detecting the virus and implementing quarantines fast. Listen, as long as China have it, and as long as it is not dying down there, all we can do now is to wait for the virus to die out or find the vaccine for it

Please make sure they are really fully fully recovered..because in china doctor too thought they pull through 14 days died. This virus is very intelligent to hide and change itself to attack again. Please be double sure so not letting so call recovered get spreading in community after discharge..keep them under monitoring still

Singapore has the most excellent medical facilities, services and yes superb medical personnel in the entire region. These must be supported totally and shunning them, particularly in these times of crises, is clearly out of question !
