Heck yeah! Now that is a cool way to unbox the mk4. I have seen mk4 kits arriving with people now as well!

I made the mistake of ordering a complete Prusa Mk4 and an Mk4 upgrade kit for my Mk3 simultaneously. It looks like this kicked my actual ship date to the curb in line with just the upgrade kits.

My MK3s+ has 381 days of print time over the last couple years and I've had zero issues with printer its self. Some cheap filament and bad gcode caused me a couple headaches but besides that all I have done over these 2 years is replace the print bed. It's tempting to order a cheaper printer with "more" capabilities but I trust Prusa's quality based on the experience I've had. I just ordered the MK4 and am looking very forward to having both of these going when needed and I am confident my printing needs will be meet for the next few years or until I get the upgrade itch!

Maybe in 5-10 years they can catch up to Bambu and actually make a working machine at release.

I've upgraded to an X1 Carbon, but honestly, I adored my Prusa. If I had to select a printer thats a bed slinger, it would definitely be a Prusa. The customer support is exceptional, and it simply performs flawlessly.

I'm wondering if you got updated firmware or not. I heard the build plate damage issue was either lessened or even fixed. I do wish they would put the first test point out of the print area though. Sooner or later that is going to get damaged. If you put it on the outside it will never be an issue. Where it is now it could be a minor issue if your print is big enough.

Nice machine but too bad all the other companies caught up and way cheaper. Don’t see this being the printer to get anymore. The Neptune 4/pro looks amazing. You can buy 3 for the price of one.

My haribo bears were a monolithic block of melted sugar. It must have gotten quite hot in transit.

I have both prusa mk3 and x1c, looking at the mk4 speed it’s just ridiculous how slow this printer is without the input shaping. It still lacks a lot of features that are present in the bambu printers and I don’t see myself going back to prusas anymore taking into account the speed. Of course I leave my mk3 as a backup but these printers are just slow. Bambu is definitely taking over a great piece of 3D printing market right now.

My MK4 initial nozzle touchdown is not showing surface damage at that location. It does have a bit of plastic there that needs to be cleaned off, but no damage. There are some resonances at times that make it slightly noisier than it should be, but those seem to be reducing over time. The print quality is slightly better than the MK3 and the speed is modestly faster. The load cell based first level accuracy is excellent and I especially like changing print sheets without having to readjust the Z height. The matte sheet is particularly nice. The MK4 is a highly optimized MK3 and we are looking forward to the coming software improvements like input shaping that will keep it the best in class while still being easy to maintain.

My MK4 is cranking away right now. Wonderful printer. It's a very nice upgrade from the MK3S+. I thought I was going to keep my MK3S+ unmodified, but the MK4 is so much nicer that I'm seriously thinking about buying the upgrade kit so I'll have two. I had a similar-looking "defect" on my PEI sheet after bed leveling, but on very careful inspection, I realized it's just leaving the tiniest little bit of PLA residue from where the nozzle touches. The latest firmware does a nozzle cleaning step outside the print area before it does the leveling step, and that has reduced this residue. I believe if any remains, it will just be printed over and that little bit of plastic will be incorporated into the print.

I'm really curious to see a full review of this, especially one that will compare this printer with the Bambu labs when it comes to the quality of the print. Obviously being CoreXY Bambu has them beat on speed, but as a hobbyist I care more about print quality usually.
