I had 13. I would usually force stop anyway then clear cache occasionally. But I like that the background app shows exactly which apps are open at any given time. So glad I found your channel I've learned so much in the 4 years of having the stick and continue to learn.

Thank you for sharing this! I had 50 apps running. Some I know I haven’t used in several weeks. The odd thing is I’m pretty sure I had manually closed a lot of these apps, but they still showed up running.

I usually open my apps from my Settings "Installed Apps" instead of from the Home screen on my Firestick. This way, when I'm done watching any content from an app, I just press back on my remote, and it goes back to the app. Then I clean the cache and click on Force Stop. This makes it much easier to keep tract of what apps you have used, and keeping them turned off when not in use.

I bought the fire cube. I absolutely love it. I was always running out of space. This seems to run better. It doesn't even buffer anymore. I have that app that coses them all. I always put it to sleep. Ihave 39 apps installed. My sister has a firestick but only watches YouTube tv and pluto. I have a cube in the living room and 27 apps on that one. I still empty the cache on all of them
