Death Odyssey (ULTRAKILL 5-3 WIP Music Preview)

A WIP version of the music for 5-3: Ship of Fools.
Same situation as with Ferryman's music, it's all MIDI at the moment.
Guitar and bass will be recorded and those sweet sweet breaks will be added later.

The thing I love about Hakita’s music is that it could all BE his “W.I.P” music in the actual game and he’d still be appraised on it.

This sounds a lot like something out of Rise of the triad.

Which means it’s basically perfect.

With all the Ferryman iconography around Wrath, I get implications that V1’s slaying of him has narrative parallels with Gabriel’s slaying of King Minos. Both are revered figures of the layers they belong to that are slain by some winged warrior. The Fall of Lust has long since ended when V1 arrives; now, they get to see the Fall of Wrath with their own eyes.

Something that helped me realize this was the opening of this tune; it uses a motif from “Panic Betrayer.”
