The trick with the hover view is just a mathematical transformation that takes a trapezoid and gives back a square. So you don’t even lose quality since the part of the image that is far from the cámara is being “upscaled”.

Not an apple fan but what I really love about them is that they ensure that a certain feature is engineered properly before being released and they solve problems that you probably weren't aware of. Kudos to apple

It's really easy to compute. It's just a normal transformation that is also done as calibration for example.
It's just a great idea that they thought of to implement this

We were all hype on this. Months and months later and Zoom still doesn’t work with it consistently. I’ve updated all of my software, even just the other day, and my iPhone 14 Pro camera still freezes up during calls all the time.
