From 2022-05-23 and software version v6.20, no need to open and unlock!
Everything can be done by OBD and DC2 mode.
MCM2.1 D5 supported as well!

How to read MCM2.1 HW:D4 (from 2019-06):
* Open ECU
* Connect DC2U-ISP7 to PCB of MCM2.1
* Connect in BSL mode
* Press Unlock
* Disconnect
* Connect in DC mode
* Read/write flash/eeprom...
* Have fun...
Requirements:
VEI V6 device
DirectConnect2U tool
DC2-ACM/MCM adapter
DC2U-ISP7 cable
License MCM2.1 BSL
License MCM2.1 DC
Valid Update/support subscription
Tokens (for unlock)
