What is the 90-10 rule?

The 90-10 rule states that 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water.

Is there any truth to it?

YES!!!

This awesome drone footage is the evidence!

Check out this cool footage that shows just where the redfish are and how they will hold and sit in potholes and grass flats near shorelines!

Awesome information and very helpful. Keeps me focused and not just drifting all over using wasted time. Like to single out my areas and work the high note area’s. Ambush is the key to note…..

As a corollary, to the 90/10 Law states : “90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the fishermen “

So sad that in North Carolina it is illegal to use a drone for any reason associated with fishing. It would be great to do this type of recon.

Of course you need a nice grass flat with potholes, but in the IRL system all the grass died and now it’s sand everywhere with no grass at all for miles. So 90/10 has become more like 99/1. I used to hate when people referred to the good ole days now I’m *that* guy… environmental conditions are terrible for fishing in many of my old spots. Florida Bay had a big grass off as week, fishing has gone down hill as a result.
