Times sure changed since the 90s, I remember we had a bus driver that put speakers throughout his bus and played the rock station he let us eat and drink. I remember always seeing burn marks in seats in the very back because some daredevils actually smoked on the bus.

The 2008 Thomas C2 I just bought has almost everything this bus has. Cruise control, driver only climate controls (no a/c) and nicer rocker switches. If I had to guess someone got lots of options on it when it was new

The change of door is actually really nice. i wonder if they did that to prevent backpacks getting stuck and kids getting dragged... that was a hard video to watch, but hopefully, these doors are better.

I still remember the flat noise school buses and I graduated in 2010. But for the longest time they wasn't using school buses and just used the city buses to pick Kid up in the morning and then after school

In the 80's i rode to school in a Gillig school bus rear engine diesel it was a monster compared to todays cab and chassis models

I never been on the newer school bus for anything, but I miss the old school busses, when you actually see the g go flashing lights and sitting in the back, you just fly while hitting the speed bump

I probably helped build this bus. I worked at the only IC Bus factory in 2023-2024 and ill tell you the work sucked. Sorry if some of the side wiring fails, i wasnt the best XD. I also helped install batteries and other stuff in the all electric models. I will say when i did the electric ones it was better all together so i am more confident about that particular work.

I can’t wait. I don’t drive anymore I’ve been a mechanic for about 10 years now. But our district has two new IC CE’s coming February from RWC. We normally get the IC RE transit pushers but I can’t wait!

When I went to school in the early 2000s, I rode on a bus that had no heat or AC, it had a big handle for the door, and the driver had to actually shift gears in it. It was a 10 speed like a semi truck.

I love that instead of invation and over complicated BS the most you get is stuff that was standard on a 2018 Inter trashonial. Keep it simple and keep it easy to work on, way it should be But ya know.. gotta make it more complicated then it should be. Still neat tbh
