I thought the part about being made reliant on an artificial amino acid so it wouldn't escape the lab was very smart. That's nice that it won't survive and evolve out in the wild :P. I followed the process until they got to the part about putting it in our farm animals (and bodies as organs). I know enough about genetics and DNA to know that our proteins are created with amino acids we break down from other proteins in our food. So, what concerns me is... if we consume an artificial amino acid that we are not evolved to digest, won't that build up in our systems either as the protein itself or the artificial amino acid byproduct? I mean, babies get screened to see if they have amino acid metabolism disorders, which can kill them. What I'm asking is, if they introduce an artificial protein we can't metabolize, won't it have the same affect? What am I getting wrong here?

Saying it will be Unable to escape the lab is wrong, -saying if it's able to Survive once outside of the lab is the Question -because even if they have made it themselves, it will have its own evolution beyond what they can ever predict.

I think it is not okay to use it in farm animals, only to keep killing them year after year, generation after generation for their meat
