Dolphins news and rumors have shifted to the possibility of the NFL expanding the NFL regular season to 18 games. The Miami Dolphins could benefit from this because the more games in the NFL regular season, the more revenue the Dolphins can receive throughout the season. When the NFL expanded to 17 games players received an extra paycheck, but the additional paycheck did not count towards the team's salary caps. Nic I truly believe the best thing we would get out of an extra game would be teams happen to come south and play in the heat. If you would extend the season longer towards February getting close to baseball and hockey basketball basketball, the most sense would be to replaced the first scheduled preseason game with the start of the regular season, what then give us another warm weather game for us! What do you think?

The relevance is ridiculous since they would still be in the same position/ranking. I would say the only advantage for 18 games is that they start the season a week earlier so we have the heat on our side, if they add the game to the end of the schedule that puts us in a tougher position adding the likelihood of playing cold weather games. Hopefully this team shuts the door on that talk but definitely weather is a factor at extremes.

Why stop at 18 games? Why not just have a 52-game season? More money for everyone, except for the season ticket holder. Records that were set based on the 16-game season will just be shattered destroying all NFL tradition. And a longer season should only take a few years off of the players careers, but sure, let's do it.

The only issue with the raise of salary cap doesn't help teams all that much. Ubless it is a significant jump. Because you add an extra game playrrs with 50 million now think it has to be 60 million.

Adding another game would be dumb, adding the 17th was already a dumb move..
