BEHRINGER SHOULD GET A GOLD MEDAL FOR BRINGING US THESE GREAT SYNTHS.

Moog, Dave Smith, Tom Oberheim, Roland etc all had the opportunity to re-release their classic retro synths. But none of them wanted to, none of them wanted to go there. They totally misunderstood what alot of people wanted. Thankfully, Behringer saw this opportunity and started designing analog synths based on tried and tested designs. It's a huge bonus that they are affordable too. I think the days of elitist analog synths with artificially inflated prices are gone now. Thank god. I literally had to wait 15 years for this to happen. As an owner of Jupiter 8, prophet 5 etc the market for these types of synths was unsustainable and crazy. I now see myself having a studio of Behringer synths - now doubt this was their game plan.

I think the Behringer company can give a medal. Best company 2019 in the category synthesizers. K2, D, Pro-1 & more... Fantastic job!

I'm so glad you included Skinny Puppy in your mentions and made a sale because of it.

I owned an original Pro-One pretty much when it first came out. It had an AMAZING sound and did some very unique things... but it was built like a paper airplane. A very frustrating time in my life came to an end when I dumped it in a really bad trade simply because I couldn't afford to keep getting it fixed.

So when I first heard THIS demo I was all in - bought mine as soon as I could and yeah, it's EFFIN amazing. It re-opened a creative lane in my brain all the while leaving the associated bad behavior back in the past.

My kudos to Behringer - you nailed this. Thanks for being one of the first companies to understand there are people willing to pay for old-school, stand-alone items that let us turn real knobs and be nowhere near a computer when we do it. MOST importantly, THIS Pro-1 is built a million times better than the original, has MIDI & USB, and - wait for it - costs LESS than what I paid for my Pro-One in 1981. WTF? :-)

I NEEDED to take my Pro-One to gigs back in the day. Bought an anvil flight case for it but had to treat it like I was carrying around a china set since every solder joint inside seemed to break if somebody LOOKED at it wrong. I bought THIS Pro-1 to record with, and I find myself taking it to gigs for no other reason except it sounds really really cool and it's fun to play.

Had a chance to buy a completely overhauled vintage synth recently, and told the owner "thanks - but Behringer is coming out with theirs soon and I'm saving my money for THAT one."

Keep on keeping on!

A big thank you to Berhinger for doing what basically any synth enthusiast has been hoping someone would do since like 2006....just remake the instruments that have proven out to be musically useful and relevant over decades of use. Why the original companies (or current intellectual property owners) haven’t done this is absolutely beyond my comprehension.

Back in the 70's and 80's I played keyboard bass and keys and used an Arp to start for the bass, but got one of these new in 81 for 500 bucks. It blew me away with the bass sounds. Best bass synth ever. But sounded great on other stuff as well. I think it nicely sumarized what mono synth technology had gotten to by 81. I don't think anyone ever did it better than sequential circuits did. I used mine for years and loved it. One thing tho, by the 80's digital was coming in and analogue was going out so not a lot more development took place in the analogue world so the Pro 1 sort of summarized an era. And what a great job they did with it!

Thanks, Behringer! Years looking for a sound as old as this, and I finally got it for $ 430! Thank you so much for doing this! Soon an extensive review on my channel!

It sounds SO good. I'm not in the market for another mono, but if I was...but I'm not. I'M NOT IN THE MARKET FOR ANOTHER MONO. I'll probably end up buying one.

Bought my first Pro-One in the Eighties from Apple music. Had several since, but currently have none. Something I have always missed, but refuse to pay the price now. Thank You Behringer for making this dream much closer to reality.

As with your all your entries into the synth world this is blowing my socks off...the bite, fullness and grit of sound is absolutely spot on... The very definition of analogue!! Love it

Last year I bought the Model D, and the Neutron and honestly can't get enough of them. I can easily sit there till my rear hurts from sitting and just fiddling around. Now I need the Pro-1, and the K2 and I'm worried I'll never leave my basement. Oh by the way your demos rock of the stuff. Clear, precise and to the point. Awesome riffs as well.

Holy shit...Behringer keeps blowing my mind with the stuff they come out with.

Absolute respect for the shoutout at Skinny Puppy. Most probably the best example of use too. The very reason I always wanted a Pro One.

Really appreciate you actually playing it. The sounds are amazing & hard hitting. I'm new to synths so this just might be my introduction 💯.
