Grasshopper 329 B vs. Scag Tiger Cat II Who wins?

Every major manufacturer makes a nice mower. Doesn't matter if its Scag, G.H., Hustler, Exmark, Toro, JD, They're all making nice machines right now. But Ive personally gone strictly Grasshopper. The build quality and dependability are in incredible.

My school uses both Scag and Grasshopper. The Scag is a 48 inch hydro walk behind and a big block front mount Grasshopper. The hopper does a fantastic job, but I don’t see those run in my area at all. Mostly Scag, Wright, and Exmark are here in Louisville.

I would take tiger cat II because it weighs less. But if I was cutting more overgrown rural properties I would buy the grass hopper with that big briggs engine for more torque to easily mow down very tall thick grass,

Been in the lawncare game since 86. I own a tiger cat 2 and a Vride 2 and about to add Turf Tiger . Grasshopper is nice but I like the front mounted deck more . Going under bushes and split rail fencing and such .

I've ran mostly Turf Tigers and Grasshoppers over the last 22 years. I use solely Grasshopper these days.

If she blew the grass away from the uncut grass on the finish cut the scag would've had an easier time... I agree Grasshopper best zero turn made!!!

Never ever cut the same grass twice!!!

You should use your blower on the grasshopper deck to keep the spindle clean and to run cooler

Should of demoed a comparable Scag...The Turf TIger cuts better than any Grasshopper.

I likem both. That Dixie is truly beefy. I don't see many Dixie choppers around my neck of the woods, but I would love to try one out some day. 😁

I own 6 scags of different sizes. That's my opinion.

So you say the Grasshopper beats the Scag? Well put some Kavli blades like Mike from Something 2look at has maybe there will be a difference. May I also add, not being rude, it's not the mower that cuts the grass that is only the vehicle. The blades do the cutting and yes some mower decks help cut a little better and some don't. I still liked the video with it's comparison.
