The Federal Reserve has reached a decision and voted to hold interest rates at a steady 5.3%. NBC News' Christine Romans explains how the Fed has a more positive outlook toward the current state of the U.S. economy.

Inflation is down from 9.1% to 3.4%.

Interest rate appears to have peaked at 5.5%. (Were republicans shrieking about the same rate under Bush Jr?) Rate is expected to start dropping soon.

Unemployment is down from nearly 15% at the start of covid to a very low 3.8%.

All pretty good news, despite how much the GQP propagandists desperately try to say otherwise.
