Adriana Ragland, LMSW, MSW ’18, began her career by providing individualized clinical services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. By 2019, Adriana founded the Neurodiversity Network of Western New York (NNWNY), a grassroots advocacy and service organization that amplifies the voices of self-advocates and advances the Neurodiversity Movement.

Adriana shares the challenges she encountered and the triumphs she achieved in creating NNWNY. She also discusses the broader implications of grassroots advocacy in creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
