6 Biggest Plot Holes In Doctor Strange

There’s no denying the fact that Marvel Studios’ latest release, Doctor Strange, is a fun hit. Most of Marvel's films are grounded in science fiction, but this film introduces some true magic to the MCU.

With Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role, the movie is endlessly watchable, and it expands the MCU mythos quite nicely. However, despite its overall awesomeness, there are some not-so-nice-things in the movie we couldn’t help but notice.

Unfortunately, Doctor Strange has its fair share of odd plotlines and some annoying contrivances that feel a bit cheap. These are the biggest plot holes in Doctor Strange. Take a look.

2:Coincidences? Yes. Bad writing? Maybe? Plothole? No
3:Artifacts can tike a liking to people, maybe they sensed it and let him keep it.
4:Just because something can happen doesn't mean it will happen. Just like russian roulette.
5:The cape has its own mind, and can decide when its needed or not.
6: A door doesn't have to be completely destroyed to get through. Destroying 2 thirds will probably slow u down a bit, but you can still get through.

Coincidence isn't a plot hole. It may be bad writing, but it is not a plot hole.

Ancient powerful artifacts were said to take a liking to the user, like the staff Mordu is using. It could be that they assumed that the Eye took a liking to Strange.

First of all, the Security System is the Master Sorcerer that acts as the Guardian. You remember him, he was killed.

As for the third Sanctum, two were destroyed, and the NYC Sanctum severely damaged and unmanned. With no one to maintain the spells or power whatever holds the shield it isn't of much use anymore.

Strange's cloak protects him from physical harm, not magical. Which is why he got stabbed.

Those are not Plot Holes: "a plot hole, plothole or plot error is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot". Just because something is convenient or not fully explained, doesn´t mean it´s wrong or an error!

Your first plot point was explained in the movie. Wong said all the knowledge is open for you to read, but The Ancient One and Wong himself will decide if you are ready for it. They never expected for one of their disciple to turn.

These aren't even real plot holes 1) the cloak is explained saying it chose him and no one else2) they say that he borrowed the eye until they came and attacked, which he later puts back later in the film3) we don't know if there were any consequences with time maybe we'll find out or maybe mordo just think there will be major consequences because the ancient one told him, he did basically everything she asked him to

I guess people don't what a plot hole is anymore. "Oh that's a plothole, this is a plot hole, everything is a plothole!"

1.Insecurity System - This is not a plothole. This is just the security system in Kamar-taj. it's a shitty security system but it's not a plothole. And the whole taking the "whole book" maybe because The Ancient kind find them more easily now since she may have a way to track the books because it's her to begin with.

2.Oh, Hey, Kaecilius - Oh my god this not a plot hole. What you're complaining about is contrived coincidence. Jesus first clue you don't know what a plothole is.

3.Eye, Oh my - I don't why this is a plothole. So them not taking it back may seems like a plot hole ok...except Mordo saying earlier earlier that "you get your relic when the relic decided you're ready". The Ancient One is leagues above Doctor Strange yet doesn't use the Eye of Agamotto to battle Kaecilius maybe because she can't and anybody who uses it get killed like every other person that uses an Infinity Stones. The Ancient One doesn't even double take why Strange has it when they meet up again in the New York Sanctum.

4. No Time To Explain - Maybe a plot hole maybe not. Let's explain everything in one movie so the whole movie can be all exposition. You should also put a plothole about "The staff of The Living Tribunal" because it wasn't explain why Mordo has it and we-I'm assuming we read or know about the comics-who The Living Tribunal is. Also I don't know if you're exaggerating but Biff only toke over Hill Valley not the world.

5. Kung Fu Cloak - I'll give you that one. The Cloak could have save Strange many times. I was thinking when they were scaling up the building why doesn't he just fly instead of jumping really far. Need Marvel to defined what and when is the Cloak sentient.

6.Two Sanctums or Three - This one wasn't specifically cleared. Does destroying the whole Sanctum actually necessary or just the part where the magic barrier is? Also we can make the assumption the time with Strange taking The Ancient One to the hospital Kaecilius destroy New York.

unless I misunderstood it I'm sure the characters genuinely think you could get yourself stuck in a Time Loop since you don't really know what you're doing messing with the Supreme sorcerers text.
I'm pretty sure he didn't take off the amulet because there was an attack in the middle of him relinquishing the products that he took. and I thought the New York sanctum was partially destroyed and didn't have a sorcerer on guard. which left the world vulnerable.

I did not like this video. Nothing mentioned is really a plot hole. The video maker just doesn't like all the coincidences that move the plot along, which could really be in any movie.
