"A breathtaking experience" - Actually this is still an understatement.

If this was done today, there would definitely be a scene where people are locked in their phones while life passes them by.

I was extremely impressed when i first watched it almost 40 years ago. Of course, i immediately bought the soundtrack.
To tell the truth, i avoid to watch it again. I am afraid to lose that first time magic.

Saw this yesterday... If you haven't see it yet, do it. It's extremly epic and really worth it, even in these days.

Even when I saw this decades ago I had a sneaking thrill at the chaotic and audacious beauty of NEW YORK CITY. How I loved it back then but can never go back.

I love this film but I find it to depressing to watch more than once a year

A film that takes you on a journey from Mother (organic) Earth to rollercoaster traffic rides and computer landscapes

I found out about this movie 1 or 2 years ago from this fan made music video: Boards of Canada - Turquoise Hexagon Sun
In that video, I get a feeling that we're all just stuck in a dream or a rat race.  I was drawn to the great footage and decided to watch Koyaanisqatsi.
After watching this movie I feel worried about Human Progress.  All I can say is that I hope the millennial generation (my generation) will continue working towards ecological stability. We're an optimistic bunch and we'll try our hardest to save/recover this planet.

Years ago, I rode the train with a young woman who worked on the sound for Koyaanisqatsi. She said the filmmakers were high on grass the whole time.

I saw this when it was first released. Mind blowing, to say the least.

1.If we dig precious things from the land, we will invite disaster.
2.Near the Day of Purification, there will be cobwebs spun back and forth in the sky.
3.A container of ashes might one day be thrown from the sky which could burn the land and boil the oceans.

Saw This movie, several years ago, (might have been 15 years ago) on PBS. Hearing the low-tonal vocals of the Intro, I was a bit interested, seeing the footage, back then, was interested....told my brother, "..we're only going to see 15 minutes of this." BUT, Both of us were Very Interested of this believed it changed my mind on Ecology and the Wastes of human-kind.

AND EPIC Soundtrack!!!! Check out the other videos of this "Qatsi-triolgy".

Mesmo agora em 2022 essa obra da sétima arte se faz super atual nesse mundo mecanicista e frio.
