This is so exciting to see you experiencing international travel! As always, your sharing what you've learned is invaluable, and it's nice to see you all having new adventures in spite of getting sick. Thank you and bon voyage!

Now you just have to go to Florence, Italy and see DAVID. I still think it may be the most wonderful things I have ever seen.

Thanks for sharing your trip. I loved the Louvre and because my Dad was in a wheel chair, we were taken right up front. You trip and video brought back lots of memories. Again, thanks for sharing.

Hi. First of all I love your show. I am Dutch and in regard to the dryer we have condensation dryers. They collect the water in a drawer in the dryer and sometimes we use that water to water our plants. Less worry about lint being stuck in the vent going to the outside and thus less fire hazard. Also Houses in The Netherlands are build from concrete.

Every trip to Europe involves LOTS of walking. LOTS.
Fun learning about new places.

If you go back to Europe; Austria and Italy are a must. I highly suggest Germany as well.

I noticed you wearing a hooded jacket. Best travel jacket to wear for travel. We went to Europe in 1990 and travelled thru 14 countries in a 5 berth rental motor camper! I did most of the driving and travelled 7, 400 miles. Carrying a full length down coat was very cosy and warm but when we didn’t need the coat it was so cumbersome. You know how to pack. Have fun and be safe.

We were there too, but we did London and then Paris, France. We made some of the same rookie mistakes. We did get Euros and Pounds from our local bank prior to going and we never used them. I only got one power converter which fit our two power strips for extra outlets and USB Ports. The weather was quite chilly and foggy in France when we went to the Eiffel Tower. We used either Uber, G7 Taxis or walking since we had two little kids with us and one of them has special needs. It was still a great trip.

I vaguely remember going there in’79 on a french club trip. We were students, not tourists. Sat in a school a day. We had to read the paper and were asked questions on what we read and how the press is there compared to here. I covered part of sports coverage. They sold bread uncovered back then outside and we had a germ freak with us. It was fun but I’m very reluctant on leaving the country nowadays. Thanks for sharing your trip.

I loved living in Europe for 7 years when I was in the military. In Germany, we had a 1970 VW bus and we drove all over to many countries. Our parents couldn’t believe that we drove through 5 different countries in one day. But for Americans, some people had a difficult time getting used to the small places to live in. The biggest place we rented was maybe 1, 00 square feet. In England, it was even smaller, (a row house). To be able to use our electric devices, we bought a converter that weighed 10 pounds. In Paris, we camped out the city and took subways. At the time we were there, peaches were in so we would buy a bunch of them and picked up french bread and sometimes that was a meal itself. I could go on but as your first time around Europe, you have to go back to see what you missed.

The dishwasher opening all by itself is probably the very newest. Most dishwashers in Europe stil have to be opened. 😊
Paris is fabulous and everytime a new experience.
Love to see you people enjoy Europe!

No dryer, perhaps, because to save $$electric. I've been living outside the US for 17 years and haven't used a dryer during this time because of this reason. It's mazing how much electric dryers use.

Great video as always! Sad that you have to blur out some of the most beautiful works of art. Thank you for all you do for those of us that can't travel currently.

The next time you go to Europe don’t exchange your money at the airport in the US. The exchange rate is lousy and they charge you fees. The ATMs in Europe (including the airport) will dispense Euros and will accept US ATM/debit cards. The exchange rate is much better and no fees. Looks like you had an amazing family trip which will provide lasting memories.

One thing to remember as Americans...always say "Bonjour" especially when entering a shop and at least try to use some French (we relied in Google Translate to speak ro our Uber drivers). It's just a courtesy that we not expect everyone to speak to us in English when we are the visitors. I saw on your video how you would say "Merci". It appears you had a wonderful time. We want to go back!

Years ago visiting Paris I was sitting on the metro when an unsupervised brat came up to me and intentionally coughed right in my face!!! Several days later when I went to the Louvre as planned, I of course was sick as a dog. Dragging my miserable butt along those miles of hard marble floors was a challenge. It really sucked.

In Europe, electricity is very expensive. This is why you will rarely find a clothes dryer in homes or ABNBs. Have the best time!!
