How to rewrite a formula or literal equation:
Identify the variable that you are solving for. Then, get the variable "by itself" or isolate it by "undoing" the operations that are being done to it.

In most cases, you will not be doing the intermediate calculations. For example, when you divide, just write it as a fraction. Or, if you subtract x from y, just leave it as x - y.

This is also called "changing the subject of the formula".

This video could work for #Algebra students who were absent, or in a flipped classroom.
