The unique dynamic built into Voigt & Voigt's recently released full-length "Die Zauberhafte Welt Der Anderen" ("The Magical World Of Others") holds quite a few surprises for the first-time listener, as you're never really able to guess what kind of track or sound or arrangement quirk waits around the corner. The slightly disconcerting lounge chic of "Sozial" is but one highlight amidst others, even though it manages to appear quite distinctive even in a group of highly competitive individuals. Now, the ambiguity of pure muzak and social commentary (pun intended?) inherent to the track finds a perfect companion with the video being a minimalist study as well as a tongue-in-cheek commercial for Kompakt's brand-new "Memoria" game.
