Jet hovers mid-air. F-35B Lightning II demonstration on practice day. Garmin KC Air Show 2023

This video combines two of my favorite things, of course anything to do with USMC (son and both brothers are Marines) and jets. This is my first chance to see the F-35B in action. It was all I could do to keep it in focus trying to record its magnificent thunder to match the Lightning in the name. I had been transfixed by the F-35A multiple times but, I absolutely fell in love with F-35B at this show. From takeoff to landing this jet does not disappoint. The raw power and superb stability that is shown in it's ability to hover over one spot and turn 360° is mind blowing. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching our Marines as they worked to get this jet ready for the pilot. I was able to speak to a few of them and greatly appreciate the amount of respect each one of them had while interacting with me and answering my questions as best as they could. They might have been amused at me due to the fact that no matter the age, each Marine I meet or run into I always remind them to call their Mom and tell her they love her. I try to remind them that we miss our Marines and even if its a quick hi via call or text it makes our day!
This show was the hottest one we have been to but our Marines put on one awesome show. I have more video from Saturday and Sunday and will be working on it. Also keep an eye out for more Blue Angels, Mig-17, and Mini jet performances from the Garmin KC Air Show 2023.
