In this video, I'll show you why the NGSS Standards are failing our students and what we can do to fix it.

NGSS is a set of core science standards that have been adopted by more than half the US states since 2013. It was created with the intention of improving science education in America's schools. But years later, educators disagree about whether or not these new standards will actually make any difference for kids' learning outcomes.

About RATATAZ:
We have been helping educators supplement their curricula for over 20 years. We believe quality education starts with good instructional materials and strong teacher support.

For over two decades, Dr. Rebecca Woodbury (Keller) has been exploring the ways students learn. Starting out as a research scientist in the field of biophysical chemistry, she left academia to create quality educational support materials for students and educators. She started Gravitas Publications Inc. in 2003 and introduced the Real Science-4-Kids product line for home and classroom educators to provide informative, activity-based science curricula for kids K-8. Real Science-4-Kids gives students the basic building blocks for a solid science foundation.

In 2020, Dr. Woodbury (Keller) branched out to launch RATATAZ as a way to introduce fundamental science concepts in easy-to-use activity-based kits. Before high school, standard science education usually covers only biology and earth & space science with little or no chemistry or physics, creating an early gap that can be difficult to overcome. Our subscription boxes cover all five core subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, and Astronomy—to nurture kids’ incredible capacity for learning advanced concepts.
