Point of clarification to the valve thing.

They apparently had hundreds of open suits that were going to be going to arbitration.

One arbiter determined that it was not legal for them to require this due to the way they were doing it directly going against anti trust laws

Now with this change they have made it so u can sue them in an actual court but also that for those who have started the arbitration process if they continue to use their steam account they agree to keep it as arbitration and can't do a class action suit.

How would they determine the difference between scraping? Like, what's the difference scraping for research and scraping for AI? Couldn't the bot owners just lie about their purpose?

Valve changed their TOS because it actually wasn't working. Some court somewhere (forgo which one) ruled that no you CAN actually sue Valve despite their TOS saying you can't..

That's the only reason Valve made that change, because they couldn't prevent it from happening anyway.

Valve real info: The first big set of arbitrations from price fixing were approved the literal same day as the TOS change. If Valve is being so nice to customers, why did they wait until the exact momebt they had a big legal loss? Valve ia trying to confuse customers and save themselves money.

And please, before you pull the tired old "bad lawsuits" gag. Corporations pay billions of dollars for propaganda. Imagine if a bad doctor killed your family being drunk on the job. It turns out the "bad lawsuit" legislation actually protects the drunk doctor, so your wrongful deal lawsuit gets thrown out. YOUR lawsuit is the one they're saying is bad.
