How to exclude music from your Twitch VODs

Just wanted to make a quick lil' video for all the people that have been asking how to have music or other application audio during a stream without it going to the VODs. The new OBS just made this super easy.

IMPORTANT: Desktop Audio must be muted as it captures everything. You'll need to capture all audio sources separately.

If something changes and this no longer applies I'll update the information here.

Just remember that while the music will not appear in the VODs, and these will not be muted, streaming copyrighted content is still not allowed and can be detected by Twitch.

Have fun!

I don't usually do tutorials, but I've been streaming for a while so if someone wants to know something specific, drop me some suggestions, I might cover it in a video if I have the time to do it 👍

Omg thank you so much. I feel like this was much harder to do a few years ago? Also, you explained it so well and not as fast as lighting so much appreciated!

Hi, thanks for the awesome tutorial. I was able to find similar settings for Streamlabs OBS. It looks like you do have a separate track for in-game music, so I'm assuming we set desktop audio to zero so that it doesn't pick up the spotify audio as well right?

Hey, I recently switched from twitch to youtube and saw this from a Reddit post and followed your link. I found the “seperate twitch vod track” setting on streamlabs OBS and was curious if it worked the same for youtube if you knew? YouTube also uploads the streams after your done like twitch. But would that setting still work?

Hey mate! Thanks for the video! Perhaps, do you know if it is possible to do this on Streamlabs? If so, how? Thanks in advance!
