For a company to last 50 years is a commendable achievement in today’s age of tough markets, economic woes, and corporate acquisitions. But this hasn’t always been the case. Today we take a look at eight companies that have survived through centuries of economic and political upheaval and market competition.
What types of businesses stand the test of time? Well, looking at the companies that have succeeded over the centuries the Infographics show can report that people like to have somewhere nice to eat, somewhere pleasant to sleep, and they like to get drunk from time to time. The majority of these organizations are family run affairs catering to a specific need but some are government-backed. From Japan’s longest running hot spring spa hotel to Ireland’s most historic pub, all these companies have truly stood the test of time.

Kongo-gumi, a construction company is now another company's subsidiary but still working as an important and independent part. We consider it is the oldest company still working.

I also miss the old narrator but don't demoralise the new one. He is trying his best. Just think how would you feel if you receive such feedbacks despite giving your best??

Beretta Firearms is 500 years old, and while that isn't old enough to make the list, it's still amazing, especially given the very fluid nature of gun companies.

I love it when Americans come to the UK and see the old buildings and ancient monuments around us.

“You can never go out of business making money” plus on top of that if you are ever short on money you can just make more to pay off your debts. Maybe I should open up a mint myself

Not old enough for this list, but Nintendo is the oldest of the still-operating game companies, and it isn’t even close. It was founded in 1889 as a maker of _hanafuda_ cards.

You need to fact check the Bingley Arms. You said Bartsey, near Leeds in Yorkshire, but the pin dropped on the Isle of Mann.

In general a great video, but please, check your geography facts, there were quite a lot of mistakes in this video, as a lot people already pointed out, the Weihenstephan brewery was not located correctly, which is not a very bad mistake, but calling Austria Hungary for example shouldn't happen, since this channel, at least to me, appeared very professional and trustworthy, keep it up, you're making really great videos
