It’s nearly impossible to score on a cpu goalie this year it’s really frustrating the only way to score is it going off the post or bouncing off the goalie

Anyone else have issues releasing the shot compared to last year? Sometimes when I’m skating in from the side and cutting into the slot to shoot far side, I’ll flick the stick up to shoot it, and my player doesn’t shoot. He just keeps holding it

I just need some basic tutorials in game because I’m struggling and this the first time I’m ever playing this game. How the hell do I hold a grip???

The only problem I have is that the shot lane is always clogged so most one-timers get blocked. On the breakaways, I will be 2-3 steps ahead try and do a move but the defense always knocks enough to mess it up. I'll practice some of these, but given you used the best player for that corner shot, will it also work with a lower rated player?

I must absolutely suck at this because I cannot even score in practice mode just playing against the goalie. Especially the breakaway backhand I would say that 8 out of 10 times my player doesn’t shoot it at the end.. I probably just don’t know what I am doing with the controller

I’m more used to Madden, and MLB. The faster paced games like 2k and NHL are harder for me, and this helped a lot. Thanks!

@TwoManAdvantage I love the video and hope you keep making more like it! Just wanted to note that for the corner snipe you really want to get the goalie into the 1-knee stance shown in the clip at @1:35. If the goalie is in any other stance this shot has a much lower percent chance of going in. You might know that already, but you didn't specifically state it in the video, and you actually showed a clip of Jack Hughes hitting a beauty snipe when the goalie was in the stand up stance (clearly possible, just a much more precise shot).

How do you get the corner shot against cpu? It rides you soon as you enter the zone on pro difficulty and above. If you go to the boards it will pin you before you can cut back. Thanks.

Do you have to click the protect puck for the backhand breakaway or is it pretty automatic without protecting the puck first?
