Clarifications: Roman Catholics do not worship the Saints, we venerate them. They are examples of virtue, piety, and above all...faith in God...even onto death. Roman Catholics were, and are not presently, deprived of Holy Scripture when the Mass was exclusively celebrated is Latin. A Roman Catholic could attend Mass throughout the world (at least until 1970) and feel at home worshiping God. However, I liked the video overall. Thanks! M.L. Beritich (My family is from Hvar).

I am an art historian from Split, Croatia, and I have read many books on the topic of the palace, as well as witnessed many excavations of the antique heritage in my town.
There is so many mistakes and false facts that you provided here. Also mentioning that a Roman Emperor was a spawn of Satan is just ridiculous. Romans had their own religion and it is to be treated with respect. Please get your facts straight and unbiased before you try to teach people history! This is horrible.

Many things are wrong, palace has 4 emtrances and not 6, and peristil never had a roof

Was this video made in a Christian church by preacher?? Deocletians would ve had a field day handling the preacher/video maker here. But I am glad we don't those things anymore. So, we lay back and enjoy the nice video

I like the facts in the video. I don't like the facts being wrapped in al the made-up biblical garbage.

PS: I especially love the irony of the statement that common people were left ignorant due to the mass and the book being in Latin only, as if those two are something that can enlighten a person. Religion is a human construct, just like any gods or miracles.

PPS: Gregory was nowhere near the first one to preach in languages other than Latin. By some popes at some times, it was even encouraged. Sts. Cyril and Methodius obtained papal blessing to preach in the Old Slavic when they went to Great Moravia, for example. They even translated parts of the New Testament.
