Inspiring and FUN Terrain

I spent Saturday afternoon enjoying the company of friends (playing some Necromunda) and getting further inspired by some amazing terrain. I'll talk about that stuff (and my own in-progress terrain projects) and of course, answer your wargaming-related questions. Come have fun!

Thank you for all the lovely words - I'm so happy you found my terrain inspiring! I had a great time kicking it and chatting this weekend. Next time we'll have to get those Cawdor into play 🤘

Candles on the cheap HOW TO:
Find an old cable.
Cut up into candle-sized bits.
Strip a tiny bit off the end so the wire is showing - for a burnt wick.
Glue down with a thick super glue - for drippy wax.
Paint.

if you have not drybrushed with oils you must try it
use almost no paint, far less than you would with acrylics, and it goes on

No. Just no, don’t do that. I am referring to the comment you made about not doing a Kitbash video for a while because of the amount of people watching. I am so happy that you made that video and I am sure a bunch of other people enjoyed it too. Was the amount of people less than expected? Yeah probably, you thought so. But here’s the thing. You don’t count on the video being watched later on. You see, I am very new to this. Kitbashing, miniatures, tabletop, all of it. I have 2 months under my belt. I live in a major metropolitan city that has no more gaming stores. The rent go to high for that kind of real estate. So I can’t go anywhere to ask or try out anything. If I sound a bit heavy is because I was looking at some of your older videos. I came across one of you having a “rant”. It was a full on get off your ass bravado triggered rant. I loved it. It was so appropriate. I got off my ass and got back to working on the legs of my WWI inspired mech. I’m using home found items and a model that was on sale on Amazon (again, no stores in Miami). I’m happy with what I am putting together, I am having fun with my build. So, although you didn’t get tge number of views you deserve doesn’t mean it won’t be seen. You never know when someone who has no access to groups or stores will stumble on to that video on Kitbashing a miniature version of what they want their story to be will be inspired by you. You never know the personal reasons some of us find this hobby. You certainly don’t know how helpful and inspiring you are to those of us that don’t have access. Keep up the great work.

I haven't really kitbashed in the traditional sense, but 3d printed bits really allow you to make some minis your own, especially space marines. There are plenty of examples like greytidestudio or ysem/cyberbrush making space wolf/blood angels/dark angels bits. Gives you that same kitbashing feeling, and you also create something that no one else is likely to have.

Thanks for the show!
Few games in Portugal.
Hope Snarl goes well!
Happy Anniversary!
Fusion 360 works great.
The time line is amazing, and doing the edges is quite easy.
Oh and buy a 3d puck mouse, for spinning the models.
For models mm works so much better.

The new kit bash video came at a great time! I'm kitbashing (and will be painting in a blanchistu style) some genestealer cults. Using GSC, necromunda Cawdor, Empire Flaggelents, maybe even some Orc and daughters of khaine bits to make the army...and some chaos. Basically had minis that I am not using and people wouldn't buy so kitbashing it is!

For my 2cents, there is almost no part of the hobby I love as much as kitbashing!! It's nervewracking when you start, but what isn't..?

I've met a doctor that was very adamant that the smallest thing you should poke with inside your ear was your elbow. I usually do the thing where you drop stuff in and let it soften everything up and then flush it out with a little squirttle after. I do not use it to build terrain with after.

Now rewatching on a PC so that I can finally hear Uncle Atom properly, though have had to increase volume more than usual so do feel audio level is sub-optimal. BTW, ear wax as a replacement for Green Stuff may not be practical but Ear Wax world would definitely be an improvement on Green Stuff World.

And it’s back to low volume. Your mic was better when you were at Vince’s place.

Thanks for the content….but the volume has been mega low for month now on these Sunday shows. They aren’t low on your Friday vids, for reference…just the Sunday shows.

I do use facebook. But facebook is strange. You see a few things scrolling. Click on one. Click back. And the other things you were interested in are suddenly gone forever! (Or at least far enough away as there to be no difference). Things like this. Recurrent. Intake virtually every week. I use YouTube wuth the subscribed button. Even if i miss things day of, i KNOW i can go find ut easily.

Necromunda is very much in need of solo rules. The lore, setting, minis, and terrain are so amazing but the community can be very tiny.

12:27 i think there's a loud minority in regard to some hobby thematics that arenusually higly requested but never watched enough... because the vast majority doesn't reaally care. All round hobbists are rare and old school today 😂

Strongly disagree with your general reception of the kitbashing video. I enjoyed it and have been getting more into kitbashing, so I got some good points from it. I also liked your older videos about the utility of the ambots, so please keep the kitbashing content coming!

I think kitbashing is something that was done more when there were less available poses of miniatures or variety of miniatures.

I normally see the Facebook posts about three days after I have watched the video

Atom, the reason why a Kill Team starter set costs $113 and not $87 isn't because GW is greedy, it's because of shipping, tariffs, and warehouse costs. I wish people understood this better. It costs them money to ship their products all over the world. If I import a luxury car from the US to Europe, of course I'm going to pay more for it than an American because I have to ship it from a place that doesn't have a free trade agreement with my country. The same goes for luxury hobby products.
