If Alabama sticks to the formula that made them great under Saban, then I think they'll be just fine.

As an Alabama fan, RGIII has no idea what we Alabama fans think. Alabama had 12 national championships before Saban. We've been thru the Mike years (Dubose, Price, & Shula), too. DeBoer may or may not need a year or two to get his players in his system to achieve at the highest level. And we're fine with it. For the record, . Saban's last team was not nearly as good as teams of the past, so DeBoer is not inheriting a juggernaut. We were (VERY) happy the starting center transferred. DeBoer may be an upgrade compared to what was happening at the end of the reign.

Not with the new Transfer player options.. Coaches can no longer Stack a Depth... Nick Saban always Stacked up a good 2nd and 3rd team waiting .. now the level of competition will be spread across the board..

Making the playoffs is really my only criteria for this season. They should go 10-2 or better considering the talent, with the main question being the secondary. But getting to the playoffs, i can live with. Getting at least a win in the playoffs, amazing. Its a coaching change and i have high hopes for deboer but nobody is expecting him to just outdo saban at bama in a year even though he will be more than capable of being a constant playoff contender after saban

It’s always a failure for any team if you don’t win the championship game. That’s the goal so if you don’t do it, you failed. If that’s not your goal, then you don’t need to be an athlete. That’s failing your teammates.
