The level of badassery on display here is beyond comprehension. I really can’t think of another artist who could stand on stage with a singularity of talent like James Brown, and do “I feel good” / “Out of Sight” step for step, other than Robert Palmer. I think even the Godfather himself was legitimately awestruck by Palmer’s raw talent and effortless cool.
