Police in the Philippines have arrested a celebrity televangelist wanted by both US and Philippine authorities for child sex trafficking.
Apollo Quiboloy surrendered to police after a two week search of his 30-hectare estate in the city of Davao. He and four co-accused are set to stand trial in Manila for child abuse, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. Philippine authorities say they are not currently looking to extradite the preacher to the United States.

"celebrity televangelist" sounds a lot like "cult leader"

He once claimed he stopped an earthquake by just yelling stop and all his followers clapped. He's good at conning people as evident of the number of followers he has but I think that he love his status so much that he actually fooled himself

I'm a Filipino-American living in the Philippines and he didn't surrender willingly. He was forced to surrender by the police because he was given an ultimatum: give yourself up willingly or we enter forcibly.

His members regarded him as "god". Claiming to be "the way, the truth, and the life".
Such is idolatrous and blasphemous!

Correction— he did not surrender. He was cornered by the Philippine National Police and given an ultimatum to come out from hiding.

As a Filipino citizen who lives in the US, I can’t wait for him to be extradited. If he gets “imprisoned” in the Phils he will still be treated like a king just like others. He has a lot of influential protectors that’s why he got away with it for a verrry long time. When the US filed cases against him that’s the only time the Phil. govt started taking action.

He did not surrender willingly; he was captured by the police, who had surrounded his compound for weeks. With nowhere to go, he had no choice but to come out after the police gave him an ultimatum: either come out, or they would launch an assault on the location where he was hiding.

A person respected, followed, believed by his members now under criminal interrogation accused of different illegal activities. How shameful is that? God is good all the time and he won't allow all of these evil doers overpower Him.

Regardless he got arrested or surrendered, it doesn't change his case as a human trafficker and money launderer...!
