ChatGPT in higher education

With the advancement of machine learning into computer software, so too did the use cases of the applications, and what is possible through the integration of the digital world. ChatGPT is a generative pretrained transformer which is capable of a variety of different language related tasks. GPTs are not new to the world of data science, but society is perplexed by the power of such tools. In this talk, ChatGPT, the impact of this on the curriculum and the way forward will be outlined.

Our speaker, Herkulaas Combrink, is working on solving the unknown, applying the scientific method in research projects and collaborating with teams to solve complex problems related to real-world applications are among the drivers of my passions. With experience in Higher Education, Medical Science, Computer Science, Data Analytics and Research across various fields, the perspective he adds to a team or project is truly unique. He is currently a PhD Candidate (pending 2023).
