Trojan Battery Interview: Smart Carbon Additive

We sit down with Trojan Battery to discuss the benefits of the Smart Carbon additive in their RE and Industrial line of deep cycle flooded lead acid batteries. Adding Smart Carbon to the negative plates of the batteries increases the conductivity of the plates, allowing them to take a charge faster and handle a partial-state-of-charge (PSoC) better.

Will you be doing a review on other batteries? I am curious about your thoughts on
sealed batteries like the VmaxTanks. I am new to solar power and these are the only batteries
I have used so far and they seem to work well. What worries me about the Trojan batteries is that they look
to not be sealed and to probably need water which means they probably emit hydrogen. I would figure that
this would be dangerous in any enclosed space. I have a need for batteries that would be safe inside a building.
