Linux's superpower made me to switch to Linux, one thing that keeps me to use Windows is lack of softwares, but with wine and Open-Source Alternatives, i am slowly ditching Windows, btw subbed!

I've using debian for more than 20 years and the only thing that I 100% agree is about hardware requirements... BUT! windows has much more user friendly software installation and management, better desktop experience (if you have the required hardware to run it of course). User and folder permision on windows is by far easier for beginers. Linux distros are by far better (in some scenarios) for advanced users. However for casual user, there is no contest between linux distros and windows.

I love this video because you focused on generic ideas, instead of XY things.

Portability: You can safely put Windows 10/11 on a portable hard drive, and the system will work fully, without any restrictions there

1 thing with windows I tried to migrate my win11 boot ssd to a larger ssd used clonezilla... then it booted up on the large ssd and it seemed to work fine.... but when I had to update couldn't do I had read there is some way to increase the restore partition to get it to work...but this is screwy.... they should allow us to easily migrate to a larger ssd. I have used Ubuntu, seemed sortt of good, but lately just use win11 but I think sometimes to get back into linux. I am also worried in the future with Windows 12 they might have some subscription fee....so I am concerned.... another thing with linux its greatest strength of diverse distros is a weakness too in that it is confusing which distro to go with. I have recent hardware 7800x3d cpu and 7800xt gpu..use it for gaming and general web browsing/streaming.

Modern versions of Windows have a Winget where programs can be installed from the command prompt

The other thing is the power Linux brings in with its scripting power.. you can automate a ton of things using terminal
Using software updates ( which windows doesn’t do ) or doing things much easily in command mode rather manually navigate those options in windows

1. linux is only really more performant on old hardware. they are pretty much the same decent hardware you would actually want to use. also the battery life is just a straight out lie. those battery savers work by crippling your performance. there are sooo many reports from people saying how linux destroys their battery life.
2. portability of a desktop os is really not a high priority for 99% of people
3. i agree on customization though you can do more on windows than you might think
4. package managers on windows have existed for ages now and they are better than some linux package managers like apt and faster than dnf or zypper.
5. while i agree on privacy, i disagree on security. a default linux installation is pretty much not set up against cyber attacks.
there are great reasons to use linux but idk if those would be for me

I now have one laptop that runs Windows. The only reason is for software that refuses to develop open-source code.

I have managed to successfully get windows to go installed and ready for use for a client of mine. How is it a failure?

Don't get me wrong I use Linux but yeah not too sure how this is a failure?

Hardware support and battery life is better in windows. If don't configure your Linux, your fan coolers will be dancer. There's no great, stable and beginner-friendly linux desktop better than windows. I switched back to windows. I tried Arch, debian, fedora., ubuntu and so on. All of them had no great desktop environment.

I would like to see "when windows is better than linux". 1. Adobe, 2. IDM downloader, 3. I don't need to terminal. 4. Office (no wine) etc...

I have tried to move the SSD to another computer with totally different hardware, it works perfectly without reinstalling anything. If more manufacturers support linux driver Linux will be much more superior than Windows I am sure

With Win 10 support ending soon a bunch of people will be switching to Linux I think.

I respect your video, and interest in Linux. I dont mean any disrespect, but you are too new, and sort of unexperienced with linux it seems. Most of the stuff you discussed is very superficial.
Linux package management system is very difficult. On superficial level, it looks/sounds good. Try installing something on slackware. Windows has much more other advantages. I've been using computers since pre-linux era, since TOPS 10 (DEC), Unix, DOS era. Since 2003 to 2009 my primary OS was on n off slackware and debian, secondary being Windows. Since 2010 till today my primary OS is FreeBSD, and I rarely use Windows for work purposes.
