Deluxe Single Balcony Cabin (Saga Spirit of Discovery 2019)

Ahead of Saga's Spirit of Discovery being named in Dover I was invited onboard for a mini cruise. During the cruise I stayed in a Deluxe Single Balcony Cabin on deck S. The cabin is HUGE and has a brilliant location.

Solo cabins are usually small and tucked away in rubbish locations, this isn't the case on Spirit of Discovery! The cabin shown is balcony cabin S507. There are a number of different single balcony cabins available.

There are so many little touches that I really love:
- UK plug sockets
- USB sockets by the bed
- Guidelight by the bathroom door
- HUGE walk-in wardrobe
- Kettle ;)
- 1.5x size balcony!

Pretty posh... reminds me of some of the 4 star hotel suites I've been at in Hollywood. Plus a balcony. Never got 1 of those before 💝💝💝💝

Its probably a standard layout for all the cabins and that little light that would guide you to the bathroom at night would be ideal so as not to disturb your partner.

Wow! An electrical outlet by the bed!! I have a CPAP machine that can't use USB so can I use an adapter for the U.K. outlet for American electrical devices? Nicest single room I've seen on ANY cruise line!!!

I would settle for the cabin for both of us, there again as somebody said it may be just designated for solo travellers. I wonder if they just allocate as they go along so they will use it for a couple if need be. I have just looked at the deck plans and whilst it gives letter codes for each category in the key the cabins in the plan are not differentiated. Odd

Fab solo cabin but don’t you have to be over 50 to cruise on Saga? I mean obviously you’re not 😜 but maybe that’s because it’s a preview cruise? Great tour anyway and I love how it’s aimed at UK cruisers.

Not convinced that's a solo cabin. It's massive and has two robes. Are you sure it's not being used as a solo cabin just for this event?
