Is there a way to get your raw description or point name to import at the same elevation as your survey points?

Great tutorial, thanks a lot! In case it helps somebody, I was having issues when trying to import the file. I got the message "No point file format match found". My problem was that I was trying to use the format PENZD in my .csv file but my first column had the point name, and apparently you cannot have letters on the first column. The "P" from "PENZD" can only be a number. Therefore, I created random number as point IDs (P) and moved the point name to column 5 (D)

Cali Foo, You can modify the "Specify Point File Format" when you insert the points. If you want a video let me know...

what if the points they give you are in lat long?

Do you mean save it as an ASCII file? I can only do that from inside ACAD and it doesn't even show it in the folder I have it in. The file was downloaded from Trimble SCS900 and came up as an Excel file. I saved it into my job folder but when I reference that folder from ACAD it doesn't show it.

I'm using the student version of AutoCad Civil 3D 2015, I can't seem to be able to change the "Points from File" format, the OK button is greyed out.
