If one wasn't aware of Lalo's dark side he could easily come off as a nice guy. That's what makes him so damn scary and dangerous. He has impeccable taste in vehicles too.

Tony Dalton is the hispanic Christoph Waltz. Actually, someone should put them in a movie together, being all polite and evil towards one another.

I cannot stress how much I love this character. At first I was apprehensive because he was brought in late, but man now I wish he was brought in earlier! Simply put, he stole every scene he was in

Lalo's bell ended up killing Gus so I'd say its even between them.

Lalo was easily the best Salamanca, he has the whole package.
Smart, charming and dangerous.
He outsmarted Gus and Mike many times while being outnumbered.
In the end, only luck helped Gus defeat him.
Truly a great character.

Lalo is scarier than Tuco, the twins and Hector combined

I would easily watch an entire show about Lalo. He is that guy.

Never did I even consider a better villain than Gus could be created.

Until Nacho walked into the restaurant and saw Lalo cooking in the kitchen while Crazy 8 sat absolutely terrified at the table.
Man what an amazing character performed expertly by Tony Dalton.

I hope to god that Tony Dalton gets more mainstream roles down the line. Truly one of my favorite actors

He's not psychotic nor psychopathic. He just lives in another world and was raised in it from birth. He is desensitized by it. He loves it. He developed his own sense of morality and his conscience isn't bothered due to that code.

LALO is the violent version of Saul goodman, and just as charming too.

15:48 Nacho was such a badass he even got a respectful nod from Marco and Leonel after helping them in a shootout.

Not sure if the writers/producers intended to do this or not. But one of things that kept him charming to us as an audience is the fact that up until that Howard scene and him protecting himself from Gus's assassins, all of his killings were done off camera and away from us as an audience.

I mean we understood that killed those people like poor Fred. But we never witness it first hand until that Howard scene. And at the point we truly understood how dangerous Lalo was. And to be honest that scene where he kept asking Jimmy about what happened with money drop in the dessert was terrifying because at lot us thought Kim was going to killed in the scene.

My favorite villain in the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul universe. The fact that he so different from the other Salamancas but is just as dangerous as them makes him a compelling character.

Lalo's character is so interesting that I would argue that he deserves a spin off series of his own, or at least a movie. I would love to see how he became what he is, why he has such a pleasant and charming demeanor on the outside but such a dark and pathological disposition on the inside. He's the most unique villain I've seen in any form of entertainment in years, his character does not have to rely on the appearance of being dangerous to scare people and that's an attribute worth fleshing out on screen.

as a mexican i really appreciate an actual mexican actor who speaks fluid spanish. Makes the whole character so realistic and scarier

Lalo was the only major character that was killed by pure luck. Seems like that's the only way he could get got. If he would of been in breaking bad, I really don't think Walt would of been able to get to the level he did

the guy gives a new meaning to the phrase 'handsome devil'.

He's one of those guys who could either be a great Bond or a great Bond villain.
