Yes!!!!!! I go to Alabama every year. Everybody both white and black can throw down in the kitchen down south PERIOD. Even the Chinese food buffets that aren't corporate down south have that zest of the south to it. It's true!! I looove my southern roots all four of my grandparents were southern.

Then my ass needs to become southern cause that sounds good as hell

Reminds of the time I made biscuits and gravy for my team when I worked for Sears. There was this older black lady named Barbara, I called her The Saint, she was from the Texas panhandle. I made her a plate, of course asked her for feedback if she had some. A half hour later she walks up to me with an empty plate and I just said, "Did you like it Ms. Barbara?" All she said in response was "Oh baby" and she walked away. One of my favorite moments in life.

As someone who grew up and lives in the South, this here peaks my interest and would probably make any Southerner happy cuz you got good wholesome sides along with the epitome of southern cuisine, fried chicken 🍗 and you stuff that goodness into the fried chicken??
