The 2020 Honda insight I've owned and driven for nearly 18 months has exceeded my expectations on some levels. Living in a semi-rural area and practicing fuel efficient driving techniques learned on my previous Prius, 58-60 miles per gallon has been typical. Compared to the Prius, the Insight is more comfortable, handles better, has much more room and better performance. I am sold on this car and would recommend it without hesitation. No long road trips have been logged, but the read-out has indicated about 48-50 mpg on the freeway, . That was during 60-mile roundtrips, depending on speed limits, elevation changes, and how much the a/c was on.

Edit: I just hit 14K miles on my 2022 Honda Insight EX (Cosmic Blue) and all I can say is I’m in love. I hit about 60-62 mpg which gives me about 610-650 per tank and I only usually pay for 9 gallons usually haha. But I’m the winter since I’m in Washington I get about 49-52 mpg so I’m running about 545-580. This car is amazing and I would recommend it to everyone and you should get it before they run out because production stopped due to the reintroduction of the Honda Civic Hybrid in 2023.

Mine is coming in tomorrow to the dealership. I ordered mine a month ago. My brother sold me it as he works at Honda. Can't wait to Drive it. We got an EX model... paid $30, 000 even... with taxes and all fees.

I scored a brand new 2020 Insight EX in March for less than a than a brand new LX, they had 4 leftover & trying to get rid of them cause they're consiered a year old, although the only difference is side traffic warning & rear cross traffic warning.

Ive owned my '22 Insight EX since Sept. of '21. @56k miles, ALWAYS get over 500 miles per tank. The computer says @25 miles left in the tank, but only takes 8.5 gallons! It's been an awesome car... no problems! Going strictly by the onboard computer, i change the oil at 30% oil life left. That has consistently been around 12k miles! Great car!

I am general getting mid 50’s for gas mileage. This is my 3rd hybrid and I drive to get as much as possible out of each gallon. My only criticism is engine noise with accelaration. This is my 3rd Insight. I had the very first generation. It was great, but exhausting to drive. The steering was so sensitive, I could never relax while driving it. Yes, the Insight is definitely worth buying. The mileage is great, it’s comfortable, even for, long trips, and I love the safety features.

Drive an RDX, but if gas keeps acting up, I'm gonna trade in for this puppy.

Yes, compared to a Corolla or Prius hybrid it’s more refined, nicer looking for the same price…

You know my daily driver: 2016 Altima. Unless it can't take anymore from me, it'll keep.

It isn't the MPG DIFFERENCE, IT'S the ROOM tire takes up.

My daily driver is a 2020 Civic EX Hatchback with no intentions to replace it anytime soon. Averaging 38 mpg overall and easily get 44 mpg+ on the open road. Is the Insight worth its price? Yes but I look for it to be dropped by Honda and for them to add a hybrid option for the Civic a couple years down the road.

With the EX, Honda still give us a rubber steering wheel....other car manufacturers are going all out and Honda is not.
