Thanks for checking it out. I don't mind working with foam and lately I've been working on a couple patterns where I wrap it around the hook shank. I use craft store foam and found it adequate. You get a full page of foam for the price you'd pay for a quarter sheet of "fly tying foam." Probably the biggest reason I work with foam is my lack of patients for keeping dry flies dry. Anything that helps me keep it afloat! Thanks

Nice fly, I hope it catches lots of fish. I am not partial to foam flies and have no logical reason. I use it for some extended bodies just because I haven't found anything that is better for that type of sectioning and may fly, crane fly or spent gnat. Otherwise I would never use it. I got a supply given to me from a friend who had bought it for crafts. It is a lifetime supply for anyone who just ties for themselves, someone like me, I could probably will it for two generations.
