Someone recently described the idea that the jeans were never really the 2000s trend, the skinny body was and the jeans were only the accessory to show it off. I fully believe this to be fact as it pertains to the past. As for the present trend revival perhaps less so, but either way, that particular perception of low rise certainly isn’t leaving. Mid rise is far more sensible even for short waisted people who don’t get on with high waisted jeans. We don’t need jeans that sit on our hipbones.

I hate low rise jeans, I do think you could rock them but I just don’t think generally they’re for curvy girls. I’ve seen a few mid size girls look amazing in them but it’s a no from me.

The first pair is mid rise...how you know is the zipper...the shorter the zipper, the lower the low rise.. I worked at a jean store for 3 years... thats how I know...the ones with the buttons are also mid rise... true low rise is way below your belly button... what also effects the jeans is if you have a long torso or short torso....

They are just regular mid rise jeans. Low rise is halfway between your bellybutton and crotch or lower.
