The way that Turing thinks and the perspective that he has fascinated me. He really lived a sort of cursed life 😢😢

“Oh, clearly.” Curiously AND ironically, I searched for this scene having coincidentally just caught it on Film’s screening of the film. What immediately struck me was how F4’s version is ‘speaking’ a censored version, in this case, gutting the scene of his ‘offence’. Censorship can be used to not only ‘speak’ differently, but also how to ‘alter’ reality.

Turing is going through a crisis... he does not know what he is (a human, a machine, a war hero, a criminal) and the inability of the detective to help him find out what he is, is nothing but an added weight to his burden.

Most of the comments on here come from simple minds that have been influenced by a screenplay that bears no resemblance to reality. The film is in fact fantasy with good dialogue.No one should base any judgements on the film's content. It is all made up. I watched this recently and was disappointed there was not more focus on the science. DVD heading for the charity shop.
