Honestly the best Supra. I'm glad everyone's going gaga over the 4th gen, so the 3rd gen stays cheap.

As a new 88' NA Supra owner I can say this body roll is very real lol. I'm thinking about getting some aftermarket swaybars put on and MAYBE coilovers too.
Other than that it's pretty much the coolest car I've ever seen or owned.
It looks absolutely stunning from the outside and inside IMO is better than the vast majority of cars new or old. The seats are legendary. This baby turns heads.
EDIT: Have since put on Fortune 500 coilovers and a quality front swaybar, all new end link cables, and a rear strut brace myself. It's like an entirely new car, it handles like a dream.

My parents were Toyota owners when I was kid so when we went to the dealer, I'd always get the latest brochures.  I used to stare at the Supra with lust in my eyes.  I loved that car.

I loved the Supra and the Mitsubishi Starion back then…both good looking cars.

Wtf? That Supra had more lean than a pirate ship. LOL

Love the classic Motorweeks, when cars had their OWN unique styling... Unlike, the plasticy clone jelly beans of today.

Back when Toyota was a FUN energetic company who produced cars drivers WANTED... Back in 86, they had this gen Supra, the Celica GTS, the 1st gen MR2, and the last of the RWD Corollas... The Corolla GTS(ae86).

What the heck happened, Toyota?? Now, you make boring, geriatric cars for old farts. Not ONE sporty coupe in Toyotas new lineup. Pathetic.

Screw the Mustangs and Camaros of that time. This is the car I lusted after. Just out of high school and driving a '75 Pinto I could only dream of driving this car.

Oh, and love the porno 'staches and satin jackets on the test crew.

memories memories here. My uncle brought home one just like in this video when I was a teen. Loved that car and it was so different back then. I went on to have 4 supras myself. A 85, 89, 92 turbo and 89 turbo.
My 92 turbo had bolt on upgrades and was making around 300hp or so. The 89 turbo had a fully built engine and bigger turbo. It was making around 420hp@ 15PSI. The setup probably had 500+hp in it though.

Supra 5 speed gearbox was one of the best of its era. I remember alot of the guys modding this box into other cars.

my brother had one of these, same color with the turbo and 5spd..he put stiffer and lower springs on it, better roll bars and an HKS exhaust and variable boost.. it was a beast! the springs and roll bars kept it stiff and flat..the boost turned up gave the heavy car a light on its feet feel and power oversteer at will..the exhaust sounded awesome...the damn shifter still looks like a butter churn though!
