A Black Hole Suddenly Changed Its Direction. It's Now Pointing At Us

A supermassive black hole mysteriously changed its direction and is now pointing at us. This unprecedented event has left scientists both astounded and intrigued. It’s something that astronomers have never seen in the universe. Even the galaxy housing this supermassive black hole has experienced a reclassification due to the shift in its core's jet direction. This discovery may pave the way for groundbreaking insights into black hole physics, particularly high-energy physics, involving the behavior of subatomic particles at extreme energy levels.

But the question is that how did astronomers find out that the black hole has changed its direction? How are the exotic energetic jets produced in the first place? Finally, and most importantly, does the flip pose any threat to our planet?

The 58th episode of the Sunday Discovery Series answers these questions.

Well, since it’s pointed in our direction, let’s hope that it doesn’t put the stink-eye on us.

I love watching videos about physics and the galaxy. I only wish I can absorb more than 1/10 of it. 😞

have been a subscriber for a few years it is still giving me new info every time

So if it takes a year to travel at lightspeed... it technically pointed at us 500, 000 years ago? Is that how that works?
(*going by the jet stream)
Which could mean it's no longer even pointing at us but only the future will know that...

It might not cause harm that is good news but great news is that we are being able to know about these events presently.

If our Sun suddenly disappeared, we wouldn't know for about 8 minutes. You know cuz of the speed of light. So this suddenly changing and facing us. If anything bad was about to happen, it already did! we could not do anything about it. Whatever happened happened a very very long time ago. ALL we can do is watch.

Guys, we’re constantly moving through the universe CONSTANTLY, and eventually we will be somewhere else. Learn to live with the chaos we call life and get over it.

It is times like this that I am reminded that some experiments are affected by being observed... just saying like ...

Initial question. Does it pose a danger to us. Last sentence no. My thoughts what would it matter 🤔? We could not do anything about it anyway.

RIP to the camera guy for floating through space for 2 years filming all this unfortunately he got sucked into the black hole but was able to send the video footage back to earth before it happened.

That's amazing! Great video, as always.

So let me make sure I understand this. So the black hole of interest initially was coming towards us. Now that the jets are pointing at us then that would mean the black hole is now moving away from us?

At first when I've read the news about pbc j2333.9-2343 I was scared and I actually thought it was all over with. But when it comes to its change in direction and pointing at Earth especially it doesn't pose any threat. Tbh I'm pretty fascinated about this discovery in this video deserves a like because I give this discovery a 9.9 out of 10

Sounds good. Let’s hope it knocks some sense into humanity.

What I want to know is how that change in the jet's direction affects the galaxy itself, to the life it hopefully holds within
