The hardest part of my life hit me while I'm listening to the chorus part. It makes me wanna say I'm sorry to myself for putting myself in the rough path and be too hard with myself. My favorite part in the video is when Jamie stares at his younger self in the mirror. It is a short clip but it makes me reflect on what I would tell my younger self.

When I was younger I used to be bullied for being fat and now I’m healthier.
When I was younger I used to be bullied because of my long, brown curly hair and now it is my charm.
In high school I was bullied for always doing what was right and now I have a life that I am proud of.
Throughout my school life I was bullied that I was not smart enough to achieve anything and now I am doing my Masters degree in a career I am proud of.

Being 26 years old now. I have so many things to tell younger self. That you will travel the world, find love, get married and have a life that you are proud of. Things get better.

This song really cuts deep for me. Because though I have suffered emotionally, mentally through out my life. I feel like I am the one that came out conquer.

Thank you Jamie for writing a song that penetrates my heart and soul. Thank you for connecting with someone like me.
