The Municipality of Pallini is a municipality of the Region of Attica established by the Kallikratis Program. The area was borrowed its name from King Pallandas' son Pallada. In antiquity it was a municipality of Athens and even one of the most ancient, as ancient writers and ancient inscriptions say, and belonged to the Antiochid race. From ancient information about Pallini, it can be deduced that this municipality was one of the eleven autonomous cities of Athens in prehistoric times.

Ο Δήμος Παλλήνης είναι δήμος της Περιφέρειας Αττικής που συστάθηκε με το Πρόγραμμα Καλλικράτης. Η περιοχή δανείστηκε την ονομασία της από τον Πάλλαντα γιο του Βασιλέα Πανδιονα. Κατά την αρχαιότητα αποτελούσε δήμο της Αθήνας και μάλιστα από τους αρχαιότερους, όπως αναφέρουν αρχαίοι συγγραφείς και αρχαίες επιγραφές, και ανήκε στην Αντιοχίδα φυλή. Από τις αρχαίες πληροφορίες για την Παλλήνη, συνάγεται ότι ο δήμος αυτός κατά τους προϊστορικούς χρόνους αποτελούσε μία από τις ένδεκα αυτόνομες πόλεις της Αθήνας.
