The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross series is in the books, and it was an exciting one, until the plague of injuries became so severe that it took out the two points leaders, leaving the Championship to HRC Honda's Chase Sexton. Now, the 2023 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series is right around the corner and most of the top factory riders are either injured, or they're racing the FIM World Supercross series.

In This Week in MXA, episode number 125, presented by O'Neal Racing, Josh Mosiman highlights the Salt Lake City Supercross and talks about the number of riders injured right now, while also sharing footage from the Loretta Lynn area qualifier at Fox Raceway last weekend, including a short interview with Ryder Difrancesco. Plus, Josh breaks the news about our new Pro Motocross Fantasy League that we are coming out with for the summer, where you can play for free, win prizes after each round and win a Beta 300RX two-stroke (motocross model) as a Grand Prize for the overall winner in the Championship.

I really hope Ferrandis can come out swinging this year. It would be much more exciting with him in the championship mix.

Josh Mosiman. That's who's left. The People's Champion.

Ferrandis and Sexton could be an epic battle.

Jett will definitely be making 450 race’s interesting even as a rookie.

Awesome job setting up an outdoor fantasy league, and good on you for having a badass 2 stroke beta as the prize!

Maybe we could review the rounds that no injuries occurred and see what is differences there were in the track designs? Could be speed + certain jump designs that create more injuries

IDK what it'd take. Maybe less technical & less dangerous tracks, maybe 250s the premeir class instead of 60+ hp 220lb 450s. I don't rmbr so many riders getting hurt like this in the 90s. Btw, thx for all u do at MXA.

Gonna be Jett vs Chase. Those 2 are gonna be pushing each other.

Scrap the 450s. Add limiters. Bring back 12 rounds outdoors and take away two rounds of Supercross like how it used to be. Supercross produces many more injuries than Motocross. With the playoffs it would make 30 rounds total.

Out of the 12 factory riders in supercross 11 had a DNF. Sexton was the only one who didn't have a DNF, despite being the one who put it on the ground the most... if that's not an * next to the title... I don't know what is.

There's just too many injuries in SX. Every year it's the same thing. By the time they reach my neck of the woods (Washougal) half the guys are out. I appreciate the effort of everyone else, but it seems like I go years without seeing certain guys.
