Today I review Lego set 40720, Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle. This set was released June 1, 2024 and is a return to the mini build of icons from Disney parks. Find out my thoughts on if this set exceeds, meets, or does not meet my expectations in the following categories:

I really love this “Mini Disney Parks” line, they’re super easy to commit to collecting as a fan of Disneyland. Not a big footprint, very iconic buildings from the park. I love it. I hope they do stuff like Mini Space Mountain, Mini Pirates of the Caribbean etc

I agree I like these builds based on real things from the parks. I am less interested in the small builds based basically on a scene from the movie.

Never been to any of the parks, but these mini sets looks pretty nice.

I just got this today from Lego shop at home. I went to Disneyland back in 2019, and I didn't get to see it in person cause it was being remodeled. But having the LEGO version of the castle was worth it! Now I got both of them from Florida and Anaheim!

I enjoyed this, thanks for sharing! Disneyland is my favourite park. I live in the UK but I'm trying to get back there every year 😊 I'm so excited about this set. It looks great with the Cinderella Castle and Haunted Mansion, which I already own. I second what you said about the Minifigure though, a blue dress or even pink and blue mix would have been great. I also think it would be fantastic if Lego released more Disney Parks sets🤞🏻

Congrats on 2K subscribers! I've never been to Disneyland, but I'm not sure what other Disney World attractions could be made at this scale. I am planning to be at Brickworld with at least Emily and we hope to see you there!

Lego did reuse the Tiana minifigure from the CMF in the giant castle. I would have preferred if Aurora had her blue dress rather than pink, I feel like she was a last minute inclusion because of all the negative criticism with the Aladdin castle not having a minifigure

Lego actually repurposed the CMF Donald Duck in the 2016 Castle
